In the bustling streets of ancient Jerusalem, a blind man sat by the roadside, begging for alms. His world was shrouded in darkness, having been born blind. Word had spread throughout the city of a miraculous healer named Jesus, whose touch could restore sight and cure the sick. One fateful day, as the man sat in his usual spot, he heard a commotion. Little did he know, his life was about to change forever.
Scene 1: The Encounter
The blind man, wearing tattered clothes, sits on the roadside, his hand outstretched for alms. The bustling crowd around him parts as Jesus, surrounded by his disciples, approaches.
Scene 2: The Question
The disciples ask Jesus why the man was born blind. Was it his sin or his parents' sin?
Scene 3: Jesus' Answer
Jesus replies that neither the man nor his parents sinned. He was born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him.
Scene 4: The Preparation
Jesus kneels down, spits on the ground, and makes mud with the saliva. He applies the mud to the blind man's eyes.
Scene 5: The Command
Jesus tells the blind man to go wash in the Pool of Siloam. The blind man, assisted by some onlookers, makes his way to the pool.
Scene 6: The Washing
The blind man reaches the Pool of Siloam, kneels, and washes the mud from his eyes. As he opens his eyes, light floods in, and he sees the world for the first time.
Scene 7: The Reaction
The man returns to the street, overjoyed, and begins to tell everyone about the miracle. The people who knew him are astonished and some even doubt his identity.
Scene 8: The Confrontation
The Pharisees hear about the miracle and question the man. They are skeptical and challenge the legitimacy of the healing.
Scene 9: The Testimony
The man boldly testifies that Jesus healed him. He explains how Jesus made mud, applied it to his eyes, and instructed him to wash in the Pool of Siloam.
Scene 10: The Faith
Jesus finds the man later and reveals himself as the Son of God. The man falls to his knees and worships Jesus, his faith and sight both fully restored.
